FAQ

What people ask

The most frequently asked questions about transport, price, documents and delivery. If you cannot find what you are looking for, write to us.

Transport and routes

Which countries do you carry to?

We carry export cargo from Türkiye to Greece, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria and Croatia, and import cargo from these countries to Türkiye.

Can I send cargo that does not fill a truck?

Yes. Small and medium-sized cargo can be carried as part load. If your cargo fills most of a vehicle, it is also worth asking for a full truckload price.

What is the difference between part load and full truckload?

In full truckload the vehicle is reserved for your cargo alone. In part load, different cargo going the same way is combined in one vehicle and the cost is shared. See the road freight page for details.

What is transit freight?

The transit regime governs the movement of goods between points under customs supervision. Our transit service includes arranging onward shipments abroad for goods held in a free zone, bonded warehouse or port that have not entered free circulation in Türkiye, with the appropriate transit documentation. See our transit freight page for details.

Do you collect cargo from my address?

We assess collection across Türkiye according to your address, cargo and shipment plan. Address collection carries an additional charge; the terms are confirmed at the quotation stage.

Do you deliver to the consignee's address?

Yes. Delivery to the consignee's address is made for an additional charge.

Price and quote

How is the price determined?

Weight, volume and dimensions of the cargo, loading and delivery address, type of transport (part load or full truckload) and special requirements determine the price. Send us your cargo details for an exact price.

What information is needed for a quote?

Type, weight and dimensions of the cargo (number of pallets or boxes), loading and delivery address and the date the cargo will be ready. You do not need to know all of it; we complete the rest together.

What is volumetric weight in part load?

Light but bulky cargo takes up a lot of space in the vehicle, so it can be charged by volume instead of actual weight. In part load, the length of the vehicle floor your cargo occupies (loading metres, LDM) can also affect the price.

Documents and customs

Which documents are required?

It depends on the cargo and the country. Generally an invoice or proforma, a packing list and a loading instruction are requested; the CMR is followed together during the transport. Where required, an A.TR movement certificate, proof of origin such as an EUR.1 and transit documents are also requested.

What is a CMR?

It is the consignment note used in international road transport. It is evidence of the transport contract and that the cargo was taken over; in case of damage or shortage it is important to note it on the CMR at delivery.

What are the A.TR and EUR.1 certificates?

The A.TR shows the free-circulation status of goods under the customs union; it is not a certificate of origin. The EUR.1 is a proof of origin used for goods that meet the origin rules of the relevant agreement. Which certificate is needed depends on the product and the country; confirm it with your customs broker.

What are Incoterms and which should I choose?

They are commercial terms that determine where cost and risk pass between seller and buyer. EXW, FCA, CPT, CIP, DAP, DPU and DDP can be used in road transport. A detailed explanation is in our guide.

Delivery and time

How long does delivery take?

Time depends on the route, the loading day, congestion at the border gate, completeness of documents and public holidays. We share the planned time for your cargo at the quotation stage.

What can I do to avoid waiting at the border?

Preparing documents complete and consistent before loading is the most effective way to shorten waiting. An invoice and packing list that agree and a ready certificate of origin save time at customs.

Is my cargo insured?

Under the CMR the carrier's liability is limited to an upper limit. If the value of your cargo is above that limit, taking out separate cargo insurance is the safest way to cover a possible loss. We can discuss insurance at the quotation stage.
